STAR Testing Procedures for players in grades 7-12
The State Department of Education, CLAS, AHSAA, and Learning Through Sports have teamed up to provide you free access to a powerful, character-building, sportsmanship program. This engaging, web-based tool uses sports and activities to teach character traits we all embrace. Kindness, courtesy, respect for authority, and more are taught using an interactive format that students at all levels will enjoy. The results from this program confirm that the program decreases unsportsmanlike conduct, while it improves the classroom learning environment and student behavior.
Athlete:
Please follow the steps below to complete the required sportsmanship test and print the certificate. Turn in all paperwork to your coach. Thank you!

Star Sportsmanship Certificate
- Go to https://nfhslearn.com/
- At the top right click SignIn Or Register to create a new account
- Once signed in - click Courses
- Click in the search box and type Sportsmanship and press enter
- Click on the picture to the left of the course Sportsmanship
- The course if free, however you will need to click Order Course
- Click myself, then continue
- Click to select Alabama, then click checkout
- Review the order - at the bottom left (below total) click in the check box to agree to terms, then click continue
- At the top left of the receipt that appears, view the first paragraph and click “click here” to view course
- Then click Begin Course
- Upon completion, download the certificate to a .pdf file, email Mrs. Dennis at [email protected] or you may upload to your Dragonfly account.
